On 22 April 2021, Cancer Australia hosted a Ministerial Roundtable at Parliament House, Canberra as part of the first step in development of the Australian Cancer Plan.

The Ministerial Roundtable brought together consumers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives, peak national clinical bodies, peak cancer and health organisations, industry and private sector representatives, State and Territory Health Departments, jurisdictional cancer clinical representatives, Australian Government representatives and Cancer Australia governance group representatives.

The purpose of the Ministerial Roundtable was to commence engagement with key stakeholders in development of the Australian Cancer Plan.

The Roundtable was an opportunity for stakeholders to raise ambitious ideas which to address inequities and priorities across the whole cancer journey and for priority population groups.
